Areas of use

Applied technologies and their features

In the manufacture of Exide batteries, innovative developments are used that are tested in real conditions by car manufacturers. The following technologies are applied:

  1. Carbon Boost. allows you to increase the starting power up to 30%, and reduce the duration of charging one and a half times. Thanks to this, the batteries created using technology are applicable in the most modern powerful cars with a lot of electronics.
  2. 3DX lattice technology. Due to the peculiar shape, the active material remains fixed on the plates, thereby improving the electrical parameters and battery life.
  3. AGM and EFB technology. Tough requirements are put forward to the modern automobile industry - including environmental ones. So, one of the requirements is to reduce the level of harmful emissions into the atmosphere. Therefore, cars capable of saving fuel are developed and introduced with smart generators and start-stop systems. Such vehicles require special batteries, such as Agm and Efb. This is the latest generation of powerful, reliable and completely maintenance-free batteries.

Exide Battery Maintenance

When servicing all types of batteries, the following rules must be observed:

  • Store batteries only when charged, in a cool, dry place;
  • during storage, sometimes check the open circuit voltage;
  • when the open circuit voltage drops below 12.5 V, charge the battery;
  • clean the housing and connections from dirt;
  • clean the terminals from oxidation and lubricate with petroleum jelly;
  • Do not use batteries in the presence of leaks, swelling and cracks.

How to charge Exide batteries

Charge batteries at a temperature of 0-25 degrees Celsius. The frozen battery must be brought into a warm room and allowed to warm up, and then recharged. This is carried out using a special memory, from the mains. The device must be connected to the pole terminals, observing the polarity.

Batteries in deep discharge must be charged with a current not exceeding 1-2 A, batteries in normal condition - with a current of 1/10 of the capacity. AGM batteries do not have strict current requirements, but voltage must be monitored. It is also impossible that during the charging process the case is heated more than 45 degrees Celsius.

How to find out the release date and decrypt the code

The marking is located on the case, consists of one digit and one letter.

The first two characters indicate the release date. The first character is a number, it indicates the year of manufacture, the second character is a letter, this is the month of manufacture: (A - January and February, B - March and April, C May and June, D - July and August, E - September and October, F - November and December).

Alexander
I use the AGM battery of this brand. The fifth year has gone, everything suits me. It was necessary to charge literally several times. In any frost, the car starts up calmly.

Vladimir
Great battery, dear - but worth it. I have batteries of this brand both on a car and on a motorcycle, I drive in the summer. I don’t know any problems.

Fedor
For the first time I tested the battery of this brand at work, on a truck. After that I bought it on my personal car. I like the fact that it has to be very rarely charged, and the way it holds frosts.

    Good day! The VW Tiguan has a lead Exside 60 amp, 280 A to DIN, 480 A to EN, SAE. For two years, mileage of 12 thousand km. The wife exploits the car, so the mileage is small. After 3 weeks of standing, the battery is dead. The voltage without load on the hallmarks of 10.8 V, instead of the minimum permissible 13.4 V. Under load drops to 7.8 V, must hold at least 10.8 V. I put it on charge, let's see how it picks up the capacity. : mrgreen:

    I had it too. The fault was additional alarm. Which set after purchase : mrgreen:
